Reliable and a pleasure to drive

I purchased my Volvo XC70 new and have had it for almost 7 years. It has been reliable and is pleasant to drive, especially on road trips. The mileage in town is around 17 mpg, but on the open road it routinely averages 31 mpg. The XC70 easily holds 5 adults and there is plenty of storage room in the rear cargo area. With the back seats folded down, it is easy to fit about any item in the back. Routine maintenance keeps my XC70 running smoothly. I am on my second set of tires.
The XC70 is easy to enter and exit for the driver and passengers. The ground clearance is just right. The controls for the sound system, bluetooth and cruise control are located on the dash and on the steering wheel for ease of use while driving.…
Best car I've ever owned.

This is my first Volvo. I bought it 2 1/2 years ago with 80K. I've changed the oil, replaced the cabin air filter, flushed the power steering system and replaced the fuel pressure sensor. That's it. It drives like the day I bought it, and it drove like a new one then. The transverse inline 6 cylinder layout is ingenious, way smoother than a V. I've been told by Volvo service techs that the 3.2 is so reliable it's starving them, and judging by the way this 106K one feels, I believe them. Too bad they don't offer this engine any more. A few more horsepower would be nice but it's far from slow, and passing is not a problem. The world's most comfortable seats, bulletproof reliability, turbine-smooth straight 6 engine, legendary safety, outstanding Haldex AWD system, lots of room; these things will effortlessly consume miles on any road, heck off off-road even. Not sure how much I'd wanna bet that a Jeep could lose you.…

Best car ever. Sorry they stopped making them. Pulling the trigger on a 2016 even though my 2009 is in great shape, because that's the last model year and it will just get harder to find a low mileage one.…
